Pick a Session
CJL runs one-week and two-week sessions throughout the summer. Girls of all ages (7-17) are welcome at all sessions except for Gypsy Week, which is limited to ages 7-9. See Fees & Dates for the schedule and other details.
Apply
Some of the sessions fill up quickly, so the earlier you get your application to in, the better your chances of getting the dates you want. Printable applications are on the forms page. Once the application is accepted, a "parents' kit" will arrive in the mail containing lots of helpful information.
Pack
Check out What to Bring and the Packing List. Basically, assemble what you think you'll need for your stay at camp, pack it all in a plastic footlocker, and bring it up the mountain.
Come on up...
When the time comes, join us at camp! See Locating CJL page for directions. Campers are required to arrive between 9:00am and noon Central Time (that's 10:00am and 1:00pm Eastern) on the first day of the session.
Begin Camp
Several things must be done on opening day: each camper's gear must be transported to her tent; the camper and parents must sign in; arrangements for the camper's stay must be made with the camp Trading Post; each camper must visit the nurse. Don't worry about all that now, though: our staff will walk you through it when you arrive.
Say good-bye for the summer...
Parents should pick up their campers between 9:00am and noon Central Time (that's 10:00am and 1:00pm Eastern) on the last day of the session. Parents must fill out a pick-up permission form if they want their camper to be allowed to leave with someone other than the parent who dropped her off.
Special Arrangements
Campers who wish to fly in (some CJL campers come from as far away as Germany!) should contact the office to make arrangements.
